Anthrax have decided to move their official website to a new url: "The move comes as a result of the blight of traffic we've received since the Anthrax terrorists attacks started. We've been getting immense numbers of hits (at times greater than starwars.com got to download the new Episode II movie trailer!) and need to change the name to curb the erroneous hits from people seeking information on the disease. Anthrax.com will be mothballed for now and possibly reappear at a later date when traffic is more manageable. As for now, all the latest and greatest from the world's most notorious band will at www.AnthraxTheBand.com. The new address will link to the same present site we all know and love. Update your bookmarks and see you there soon!"

Zane Reed Johnson from CelticFrost.com has posted the following at the CF forum: "This message isn't intended to be cryptic, but very soon an exclusive announcement will be posted on H2CF as soon as it appears that all relevant technical and logistical details have been decided upon regarding the current CF reformation. (Yes, I know some of you might be thinking, "Well, we've heard that one before...!" Trust me, that is not the case this time.) In the meantime, the latest issue of "Terrorizer" magazine has a brief, one page article regarding the reformation." You can read the Terrorizer article here.

Prior to the release of the album, a single and video-clip will be released - stay tuned for more details. More and more is unfolding in the Skyclad vs Martin Walkyier story, with two audio interviews with Steve Ramsey and Martin Walkyier, both available at Metal Meltdown. Some very interesting revelations about Martin's leaving, and some shockers about Jay's leaving Skyclad. Frankly, this is turning into a bit of a soap opera, and I honestly wish they'd just move on with their lives. But these are very interesting listenings. Props to Dr. Metal!
Taken from Metal Meltdown and Dr. Metal: FALCONER will be recording their new album in 22 days at Los Angered studio in November. The title is Chapters From a Vale Forlorn, and some song titles are: Decadence of Dignity, Lament of a Minstrel, For Life and Liberty, and Enter the Glade. The band will also tour for the first time next year in support of the new album. I suppose it's too much to hope that they'll tour the US. So all of youse in Europe, you damn well better catch them if you can!

What shall i add?... The band has decided to start one from zero so they need you all to register. And of course, beware if you still receive emails from the old webmaster address...

King Diamond's upcoming album "Abigail II: The Revenge" will be released in Europe on January 28th.
Taken from the Levellers November Newsletter: "Today (Monday 5 November) the Levellers begin recording their next studio album at the Metway. We've chosen the crack team of producer Alan Scott (who was responsible for our biggest seller, Levelling the Land, and our number One album Zeitgeist) and engineer Jake Rousham (responsible for all of our Metway Sessions, and in-house Metway engineer). Mark and Simon have come up with 12 demo tracks each which are truly exciting! I won't try to describe the musically here, or talk about influences or changes of direction, but I'll try to persuade the band to put some of them up as MP3s on the site. I'm also going to persuade them to write a Studio Diary outlining the project as it unfolds for the website. As mentioned before we haven't chosen a new record company for the Levellers. We do have two offers on the table, but I've decided that the best way to discover who will do the best job for the band would be to let them hear some finished songs. At that stage some other companies may become interested. I'm also exploring the option of starting up a label at the Metway-with 3 recording studios and so much space it could be the perfect place for a record company - and we'd love to change the format of Record Contracts to make them more creative and band friendly! More details on this if/when it becomes likely." For more information (incl. details on their up coming gig at the Brighton Concorde 2) check out the official Levellers website at http://www.levellers.co.uk/.

Thanks to Tiago for having posted the 4th band of the month, Tempest. Great review! cheers! :)
Dear InExtremo friends, now here is a sign of life by Lutter himself. During my hospitalization I asked our manager Doro to wait posting any messages until the time I was able to write something on my own. I hope you'll understand... After all these unfortunate events during the past weeks you certainly deserve some words of explanation: It surely got around that I had to spend the last 5 weeks in the surgery of a Berlin Hospital. And to cut a long story short: 2 days before our autumn tour should have started and rather by accident the doctors diagnosed an enteritis. Due to the fact that an intestinal occlusion was at risk (I assured myself by watching the facts on a monitor) my doctor send me to hospital straight away. Yep, and there I was, blissfully ignorant and completely supervised by medical machinery. It took 14 days until the operation was possible because the doctors needed to wait for resolution of the intestinal's swelling. And a few days afterwards a final diagnosis was made. In order to prevent speculations: they diagnosed a malignancy and since this didn't seem to be mean enough they also found 2 lymph nodes being afflicted. The surgeon though assured that they'd resected broadly but a long-term chemo therapy as precaution is unevitable. So far the actual state of affairs! So like other people did before now I need to learn how to get along with this. Anyway there is one thing I found out already: such a diagnosis changes your life's attitudes radically! I must learn to comprehend this disease as a chance. Here and now I want to thank you for all the emails, sms, phone calls, visits, thoughts and even prayers... I don't want to distinguish because it won't be fair. And that's the reason why I won't tell names but I really like to mention that I'm deeply moved and impressed. In fact you supported help during all these gloomy moments. I never knew how many friends are out there sharing my suffering. I thank you so much for this wonderful experience - involved in everyday life stress one sometimes forgets too soon about the real important things in life. And now - how will it go on? Actually I desired to be on stage again on 9th November. But ever after the cancer diagnosis had been revealed I knew I had to reject these thoughts. With a heavy heart though and to be honest the moment the tour was cancelled for the first time I'd expected a minor serious and easily-to-be-healed enteritis without far reaching after effects. Unfortunately due to the extensive surgery I feel more exhausted than I'd expected. So now I will go for 3 weeks rehab. In the meantime our friend Totti who is a member of the Berlin band BOON will play instead (besides BOON will also be supporting us on our Christmas tour). Please give him a fair chance and say welcome the same as you did to me in the past. I hope that I will be able to be back on stage again on 12/14 in Berlin. At present there definitely is no chance for me to take part. The pain is too hard and my hilarious weight (62 kg!!) won't let me act the way I used to. I hope you understand. In addition to what I told you there will be the chemo therapie coming up within the next 6 months. Nobody knows in advance how I will respond on it. So in case I won't show up on stage now and then (maybe) you mustn't think that it won't be a goodbye forever! I love this band (and my instrument as well) far too much to consider something like that... Talk to you soon, at least I hope so, lots of greetings Die Lutter
Hmmmm! Well what has been going on in the Annihilator/Waters camp? Done the writing for the next cd. Got the rhythm guitars/bass/most leads recorded. Randy Black just arrived from Berlin to start drum tracking tomorrow. Joe "Toe" Comeau arrives a week later to start vocal tracks. This will be a first; other than when I was the singer, this will be the first time in Annihilator's history that a singer has lasted more than one cd in a row! (better knock on wood and not count my chickens [and corn] as he ain't here yet! HA!) I will finish up some leads and other tracking at the end of October and then November will be mix and master time. If all goes well, we hope for a mid-spring release. I am really digging this cd. Ok; you knew I was gonna say that BUT, on a very personal note, this is definately the most difficult Annihilator cd to play on the guitar! Thank my buddy Paul Blake and Rob Malbeuf for that; they both told me: "Jeff, write the fastest, hardest riffs you can come up with". Once again, my right arm/neck were f....d for a few weeks after tracking as the picking on this new one is insane! Ok; so that doesn't mean s..t if the tunes aren't any good! They are. Wickedly cool production; a very big change in styles for me as well as for the guitar sound. Joe has written some good lyrics on this one, as he did on the last cd. Looking forward to working with Randy Black in the studio (tomorrow!). He is a very seasoned pro who is very open-minded to trying different things; always a bonus in a studio situation. Will let you know how it goes next week! "Hello" from all of us and we sure hope you appreciate our next offering! Cheers: Jeff and crew
The band are still busy writing new tracks in their studio and will hopefully be ready to record some of the tracks as demo's in November. The demo's will be produced by John Pennington who is currently the bands 'Live' engineer, PL are hoping he will be able to catch their raw live sound on CD.
Gaël Feret is the new drummer and Jonathan Alonso has become new lead guitarist of Misanthrope.
It seems the band has played some of their new material (6 songs) during the last dutch tour and some people have illegally recorded it and are spreading the songs on the web and everywhere. Since these songs have not even been finished, and therefore haven't been registered either, it can cause serious legal problems with Century Media for the band. Maybe they won't be able to release their new album! Apart from that, it seems that on the new stuff live Anneke plays guitar on two songs at last. The new songs are in the kind of If_then_else but with more experimentation, weird sounds and are more complex (it's no more just chorus stuff, it's made with many breaks, and so on... not the classical song arrangements). A mini cd is rumored before christmas and the new album next year.

It is rumoured that the upcoming best of album from The Cure will be their last CD that's realeased via record label. All future material might be distributed through the band's official homepage. Seems like this strategy is getting more and more popular :D
